Become a Board Member

There are currently two ways to serve on “The #UniteCloud Board”: Apply and be voted in (by current members of “The #UniteCloud Board”) as a member of the Working Board or become a Sustaining Board member. Both the Working Board members and the Sustaining Board members work side-by-side in an essential body we simply refer to as “The #UniteCloud Board.”

• Volunteer 10 hrs/month (includes monthly board meetings)
  • Planning, fundraising, accounting/professional skill, media creation, blogging/writing, etc.
  • Attendance at the monthly board meetings is mandatory
    • Monthly board meetings: 3rd Saturday of every month, 9AM – 10:30PM (no meetings in July, September, and December)
    • 2nd consecutive or 3rd total yearly absence will result in removal
      Extenuating personal circumstances may be considered as excused absences from monthly board meetings once the remaining board members vote on the matter on a case-by-case basis
• Event participation is encouraged
• Term limit: 3 years

• Financial contribution of $5,000/yr + monthly board meeting attendance
  • Attendance at monthly board meetings is mandatory.
    • Monthly board meetings: 3rd Saturday of every month, 9AM – 10:30PM (no meetings in July, September, and December)
    • 2nd consecutive or 3rd total yearly absence will result in removal.
      Financial contributions are not returned even when a sustaining board member has been removed.
      Extenuating personal circumstances may be considered as excused absences from monthly board meetings once the remaining board members vote on the matter on a case-by-case basis.

• Term limit: 1 year
